Mass defections: PDP Governors summon party chieftains

In what appears to be a wider consultation on how to address the wave of defections and the crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Governors elected on its platform have invited former Governors and other key chieftains of the party to a meeting in Abuja this Sunday.

Some of those spotted at the venue of the meeting are former Governors, including Olagunsoye Onyinlola of Osun State, Achike Udenwa of Imo State, Liyel Imoke of Cross Rivers State.

AIT.live understands that the Governors also summoned members of the party’s Board of Trustees and former presiding officers of the National Assembly.

It is learnt that the PDP leaders would address key issues, including defections of Party faithful, upcoming National Executive Committee meeting and the National Elective Convention, at the expanded meeting.
