‘Narcos’ star Manuel Masalva in coma after contracting infection

Mexican actor Manuel Masalva, widely recognized for his portrayal of Ramn Arellano Flix in Narcos: Mexico, is currently in a medically induced coma due to a serious infection, fellow actor Mario Morn revealed on Thursday. In a video posted on TikTok, Morn explained that Masalva contracted a very aggressive virus while on vacation. He did not specify the location of the trip but said the situation remains delicate. Masalva was hospitalized and placed in a coma as doctors continue to monitor his condition. Hes fighting, and were hoping for the best, Morn said in Spanish, urging fans to support the actor and keep him in their thoughts. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to assist with medical expenses, as Masalva is believed to still be abroad. Masalva gained international recognition for his role in Narcos: Mexico, where he portrayed one of the co-founders of the Tijuana Cartel, who was killed in a 2002 shootout.
