Nasarawa Govt. Vows To Enforce Peace, Tranquility In State

Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule says there is no going back on his administration’s commitment to foster peace in crisis-prone areas, particularly Afo, a community in Nasarawa Local Government Area. 

The Governor gave the indication in Keffi during a one-day youth Summit on Peace and Security, with the theme “Building Bridges: Innovative Approaches to Conflict Prevention and Resolution”. 

Governor Sule commended the initiative and urged youths to shun violence and embrace peace for development to thrive. 

Executive Director of the Center for Community Actions for Peace and Development, Ahmed Salihu, presented a paper analysing the crises in the Afo community in the state, emphasising the role of religious harmony in averting conflict. 

Former APC National Chairman Abdullahi Adamu also addressed participants, underscoring the value of sustainable peace. 

The summit concluded with calls for collaborative efforts to ensure lasting peace and security in Afo community in particular and the state at large.
