Niger Delta Group PANDEF Raises Concern Over Rivers State Emergency Declaration

The Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) has reacted to the state of emergency declared in Rivers State by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, expressing alarm over the crisis that led to the declaration.

In a statement issued on Tuesday evening by PANDEF’s National Spokesman, Dr. Obiuwevbi Ominimini, the Group described the crisis as “ordinarily avoidable”.

PANDEF Says it is currently reviewing the situation and will soon announce its official stance on the matter.

President Tinubu’s declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State has sparked widespread reaction from various stakeholders, with PANDEF being the latest to weigh in on the development.
