Japhet Alexander was born on February 22, 1989. He hails from Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State, Nigeria, and is of Jukun descent. He graduated with a Bachelor of Education degree in Social Studies from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

Japhet Alexander is a gospel music minister, songwriter, and vocalist. He is also a drummer. He has recorded over 25 singles and released his debut album on July 31, 2010. His music focuses on spreading the word of God.

Japhet Alexander is married to Joyce Japhet. He draws inspiration from his faith and commitment to his craft.
