Some students from various tertiary institutions in Gombe state have dissociated themselves from any planned protest or strike by the Nigeria Labour Congress on the proposed hike on telecommunication tariff.
The students under the National Association Of Nigerian Students acknowledge the concerns of the Nigerian Labour Congress, but noted the protest do not address the needs of the students, however called on the Nigerian Government to focus on the state of bad roads in the North East
Students making their voice heard on the state of the nation, participants and victims of various national strikes, this time these students say they won’t participate in any gathering noting their focus is on completing their education.

Their concerns are on the state of the roads in the north east which they ply on a daily basis calling the state and federal government to quickly work on the dilapidated roads in the north east
For the students, their decisions is coming at the time their focus is on completing their studies and be part of the solution rather than being a part of the problem
