Notorious bandit, Akumave Shogodo k!lled during gun battle with police in Benue

A notorious armed bandit identified as Akumave Shogodo was k!lled during a gun battle with the Benue State Police Commands Tactical Team in Zaki-Biam, Ukum Local Government Area of the state.  Sources disclosed that at approximately 6:30 a.m. on April 29, 2025, following intelligence gathering and analysis, the Commands Tactical Team stormed a suspected criminal hideout.  Upon sighting the officers, the bandits opened fire, leading to a gunfight.  The team, equipped with superior firepower, successfully subdued the bandits.  According to counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, Shogodo, a well-known bandit terrorising the Zaki-Biam area, was injured in the exchange of gunfire.  He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment but was later confirmed d3ad.  A locally fabricated short gun was recovered from him.  Other members of the gang managed to flee with varying degrees of injury.  The post Notorious bandit, Akumave Shogodo k!lled during gun battle with police in Benue appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
