Remo Stars extended their lead at the top of the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, to five points after a 2-1 victory over Akwa United.
Akwa United took the lead through Uche Sabastine after six minutes.
Samuel Anakwe restored parity for the visitors in the 74th minute, while Olamilekan Adedayo scored the winning goal for Remo Stars five minutes from time.
Remo Stars now occupy the top spot on the log with 39 points from 20 games.
At the New Jos Stadium, Plateau United dented Rivers United’s title hopes, inflicting a 2-1 defeat on Finidi George’s side.
Olawale Doyeni gave the hosts the lead in the 21st minute, while Ndifreke Effiong equalised for the visitors three minutes before the break.
Emmanuel Ihezuo then netted the winning goal for Plateau United deep into stoppage time.
