NRC to resume train services in Jos from Monday

The Plateau State Ministry of Transportation has announced the resumption of daily train services along the main Jos-Bukuru corridor from Monday, July 14, 2025.
The announcement, which was contained in a statement issued by the Information Officer of the Ministry on behalf of the Commissioner, Davou Gyang, stated that the commencement of the services along the corridor was made possible after extensive repair works and test runs were carried out by experts and certified fit to start the services.
The statement also noted that the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has also certified the routes and the health of the trains that will run the daily services which will operate four daily trips between Bukuru and Jos Terminus, with stops at Old Airport and Dogon Karfe stations.
In the announcement, the Ministry said the full schedule will start in the morning from Bukuru to Jos with the train departing at 06:50am with stops at Old Airport, Dogon Karfe before arriving at its final destination at Terminus at 07:26am.
It added that subsequent trips will follow thereafter, while encouraging passengers to take advantage of the trains for their maximum use.
