The Ondo State Government has refuted online media reports that claimed an armed herdsmen attack on some communities in the State and killed farmers.
In a statement released by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Security Matters, Olugbenga Atiba, the government labeled the report as false, malicious, and a deliberate attempt to incite fear and tension among residents.
According to aide, the report was not only an absolute falsehood, but an attempt by the sponsors of the fake news to create panic among the residents of the State.

He advised those behind the report to desist from such an act that is capable of creating chaos, disunity and distrust between the people and the government.
Atiba added that Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, prioritizes the security of lives and property of every resident of the Ondo State where they live, work and play.
He therefore enjoined the people to continue to go about their lawful businesses without fear.
