The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won all the 18 chairmanship and 203 councillorship seats in the January 18 Local Government election in Ondo State.
Chairman of the State Independent Electoral Commission, Joseph Aremo announced the results at the commission’s headquarters in Akure, the state capital.
Aremo, who explained that the election was keenly contested by 12 political parties, said it was peaceful without any incident.
Meanwhile, Social Democratic Party, SDP in the state has accused the electoral commission of manipulating the exercise in favour of the ruling All Progressives Congress and it is therefore asking for cancellation of the election based on lack of credibility.
