Wife of the governor of Osun state, Mrs Ngozi Adeleke has implored parents and guardians to guide pupils and their wards to ensure they explore modern information technologies only for intellectual orientations and positive social development.
Ngozi Adeleke was speaking in Osogbo, Osun state during an event she attended to inspire and motivate children as they celebrate the Yuletide.
She said unguided access of young citizens’ to the Internet or technological devices may cause their indulgence in unlawful or other unacceptable social and immoral activities, hence the need to guide and monitor them.
According to her, children should be nurtured to become agents of positive and intellectual contributions in the society and not allowed to see latest information technology as an opportunity to indulge in immoral or awful activities.
