The Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum and Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has reiterated the forum’s commitment to rescuing the party from practices of impunity that threatens participatory democracy in Nigeria.
The Governor made this statement during a meeting with PDP State Youth Leaders at the Bauchi State Government House.
He appealed to those contemplating leaving the PDP to reconsider, emphasizing the importance of remaining united.
Addressing concerns regarding the National Working Committee, Governor Mohammed called for patience, acknowledging grievances among party members were necessary ingredient for democratic development.
Governor Mohammed assured the youth leaders that the forum would continue to take necessary steps to maintain party unity and provide opportunities for members, particularly the youths to achieve their aspirations within the PDP.
Present at the gathering were PDP Youth Leaders from across the 36 states of the federation, including the FCT, Abuja.
The delegation, led by its chairman, Jamilu Ali Kalshingi, visited Bauchi to condole Governor Bala Mohammed over the death of his stepmother and to express their unwavering support for his efforts to ensure the unity of the PDP.
