Security Agencies have arrested an aide to the embattled national secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senator Samuel Anyanwu for attempting to disrupt the convergence and meeting of the National Working Committee of the party.
The arrest comes on the heels of alleged repeated misconduct from Emmanuel Okoronkwo, who is believed to be working for the embattled National Secretary.
The party during its Wednesday NWC meeting in Abuja, maintained, Senator Anyanwu lacked the moral and legal standing to continue to occupy the office of the National Secretary of the PDP.
Recall that the Supreme Court had in ruling issued on Monday march 10 reserved judgement in the matter concerning his removal from office on account of his resignation to contest the last Imo governorship election and the PDP leadership refusal to allow him remain in office having lost his gubernatorial ambition.
This incident nevertheless, is the latest development in the ongoing leadership crisis within the PDP since an appellate and high court in Enugu removed him as National Secretary of the party.
