President Bola Ahmed Tinubu hosted Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, and his sons, Jordan and Joachin, at his Ikoyi residence in Lagos during the Yuletide. The visit, marked by camaraderie, showcased the president’s appreciation for Wike’s transformative efforts in the nation’s capital. Lere Olayinka, Wike’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication and Social Media, described the encounter as warm and engaging.  “The president commended the minister for his exceptional contributions to the Federal Capital Territory,” Olayinka stated. Tinubu highlighted Wike’s effectiveness in addressing critical challenges, particularly in land administration reforms and regulatory enforcement. The president reaffirmed his confidence in Wike’s leadership, calling him a “good man” and a “performing minister” during a recent media chat. The visit also included former governors James Ibori of Delta State and Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, who joined Wike in the delegation. The gathering underscored Tinubu’s support for Wike’s initiatives and the collaborative spirit between the presidency and FCT leadership.
