Police Arrest 2 Fake Pastors With Fetish Items In Rivers

Suspected two fake pastors have been arrested by the Nigerian Police at Rumunduru in Obio/Akpor local government area of Rivers State.

Briefing journalists at the Rivers State police headquarters in Port Harcourt, the commissioner of police Olugbenga Adepoju explained that incriminating items and fetish materials were found in their custody.

Speaking to journalists, the two suspects named Bassey Umoren and Elijah Aniete who hail from Akwa bom State said the items found in their custody were not incriminating neither fetish, rather that they were spiritual materials used in praying and working for their members, lamenting that the arrest was a setup.

Henry Worlu, the Rumunduru community development chairman who reported the suspected Demonic activities of the pastors to the police explained that they were caught performing rituals in the night.

Briefing journalists on the arrest of the pastors, the Rivers State commissioner of police represented by the command’s public relations officer PPRO Grace Irigi-Koko stated that the suspected fake clergymen were nabed with criminal and suspicious items.

The Rivers Police command further affirmed that the two suspects will be charged to court after thorough investigation.
