Police present N4.4m to families of deceased officers in Kebbi

The Kebbi State Police Command has presented welfare cheques totaling N4.4 million to eight families of police officers who died in active service.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Bello M. Sani, made the presentation on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, during a brief ceremony at the command headquarters in Birnin Kebbi.
Speaking on behalf of the Commissioner, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of administration, DCP Aminu Babale, urged the beneficiaries to make productive use of the funds to support their families and address immediate needs, including education.
He also offered prayers for the repose of the deceased officers and comfort for their families.
A representative of the beneficiaries, Kamal Abubakar, expressed appreciation to the police authorities for the support and acknowledged the gesture as a source of relief.
The cheques were disbursed under the IGP Family Welfare Scheme, which supports the families of officers who lose their lives in the line of duty.
