The National Access To work Scheme Developed by the National Commission for Persons With Disabilities has been launched in Lagos.
Speakers at the forum on Wednesday In Lagos said the iniative will not only address barriers preventing persons with disabilities from Accessing formal employment, but also strengthen Economic Inclusion.
Despite Legal framework recognizing the right of persons with disabilities, many of such Persons have remained unemployed due to factors not unconnected with stigmatization and discrimination.

With the launch of the Access to framework initiative Wednesday 29th 2025 through the support of sightsavers and TAF Africa , the narrative is changed for the best.
The Scheme adopts a shared responsibility model where the national Commission for persons with disabilities mobilizes resources to provide devices and work place accommodations as well as ensure safe and accessible environment for them.
