Road Safety Corps personnel urged to step up accident reduction efforts

Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) personnel have been told to do more in their efforts to reduce accidents in Nigeria with a promise of government support in the area of funding and other key logistics

FRSC Corps Marshall, , Sheu Mohammed made the call during an official visit to Ilorin the Kwara State capital where he also said President Bola Tinubu has assured the Corps of prompt released of funding particularly for training of the FRSC personnel in line with the directive given by the President to reduce road traffic crashes across the country.

The Corps Marshall also promised regular training and retraining of the personnel.

On staff welfare, the FRSC helmsman maintained that to effectively implement road traffic regulations and sanctions, officers need to be adequately motivated

He said in line with this, forty residential homes have been handed over to FRSC personnel across the country within the last one year with more on the way.
