Cyriel Dessers has won Rangers’ Men’s Goal of the Month for January, DAILY POST reports.
Dessers claimed the award for his superb strike in the Gers’ 2-1 UEFA Europa League defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford.
The Nigeria international got on the end of a long pass from captain James Tavernier in the 83rd minute.
The 30-year-old used his body intelligently to nudge defender Harry Maguire out of the flight of the ball and, after a lovely touch on his left side, swept the ball into the bottom corner.
Dessers has been in fine form recently, contributing five goals and two assists in his last five games.
Rangers will face Queen’s Park in a Scottish Cup fifth-round tie on Sunday.
