Security Forces Repel Coordinated Attacks By Bandits,Neutralizer Over 50

In what is being described as a major breakthrough in the fight against rural banditry, security operatives in Niger State foiled two attempted attacks on Kuchi and Kabula communities in Munya Local Government Area.

The attacks, which occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, May 28th, 2025, were met with a swift and strategic response.

Acting on credible intelligence, the operatives laid an ambush and engaged the bandits in a fierce gun battle.

Sources confirm to ait.live that at least fifty bandits were killed in the operation, while others fled with gunshot wounds. The swift intervention prevented what could have been a deadly raid on the local communities.

Security has since been reinforced in the area, and residents are said to be safe. Authorities are urging the public to continue cooperating with security agencies by providing timely and credible information.
