The Abuja School of Social and Political Thought wants the judiciary to be ‘courageous’ and reject the Edo State Governorship election results that according to him ‘show evidences of manipulation‘School Director, Sam Amadi made the call in Abuja during a meeting with other civil rights groups in over the election in Edo state ahead of the next Governorship election in Ondo state.
Amadi said if the judiciary takes such a bold step, it would serve as deterrent to election manipulators in the country.
He expressed concern over the forthcoming Ondo Governorship election and wondered if INEC could guarantee transparency of the exercise.
According to him, the electorate have lost confidence in electoral processes in Nigeria, especially when according to him, election results declared have been at variance with INEC deployed technology.
