A 23-year-old petrol station attendant identified as Grace Godwin was abducted and k!lled by suspected one chance kidnappers in the Federal Capital Territory.   Her body was found dumped on Abubakar street, Off Alex Ekwueme street in Jabi area of the FCT on Saturday morning, July 12, 2025.   Comrade Adanu Andrew, the President of Voice of Apa and Agatu Initiative for Development, who confirmed the incident stated that the deceased hailed from Ekaida, Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State.  Mr. Andrew further debunked reports making the rounds on social media that the deceased had gone for hookup, describing her as a well-disciplined and cultured young lady.   According to him, Grace fell into the hands of one chance criminals on her way home from work on Friday, July 11.   He stated that the abductors had demanded N1m ransom from the victim’s family.  The general public is hereby informed that the lifeless body of a young woman was found on Abubakar Street, off Alex Ekwueme Street in Jabi-Abuja this morning. Contrary to a misleading Facebook post, she did not go for a hookup, he wrote. “The deceased, our daughter from Ekaida, Agatu Local Government, was abducted while returning from work by a ‘one-chance’ vehicle yesterday.  “Her abductors demanded a ransom of one million naira, and her family was already on their way to secure her release when they saw the Facebook post. She was a well-disciplined and cultured young lady who worked hard to earn a living, sadly falling victim to the wickedness of those who seek to make money by all means.
