Suspected thugs attack vigilante outpost in Niger State, kill one, injure others

Armed men suspected to be thugs have attacked a vigilante security outpost located at the Kpakungu area within Minna metropolis in Niger State.

According to a source, the attack which occurred between 10 and 11 PM on Sunday, December 29, saw the murder of a 30-year-old fashion designer, Murtala Hassan.

It was gathered that the suspected thugs first launched an attack on the Kpakungu Vigilante Security Outpost located at Kpakungu roundabout where several vigilantes were injured and dispossessed of their mobile phones.

It was during the attack that Murtala was captured and stabbed to death.

The police said they have launched an investigation into the incident to bring the perpetrators to book.
