Troops arrest two suspected militias, recover arms in Plateau

Troops of Operation Safe Haven have arrested two suspected militias and recovered firearms in Angwan Mata, Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.  Intelligence sources told security analyst, Zagazola Makama that the operation, conducted on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at about 11:10 AM by troops of Sector 8, followed credible intelligence on the activities of armed groups of Mwaghavul origin in the area.  The arrested suspects, identified as Innocent Nanpan (20) and Sebastine Samuel (20), were found in possession of a fabricated rifle and four cartridges.  According to security sources, the suspects and the recovered arms and ammunition are in custody for further investigation.    The post Troops arrest two suspected militias, recover arms in Plateau appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
