Troops of the Joint Task Force Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have killed a terrorists’ kingpin simply identified as Babangida, and several other terrorists at Dajin Yamma, in the Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State, Northwest Nigeria.

A statement by the Coordinator, Joint Media Coordination Centre, Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar Abdullahi said the feat was recorded, after the troops had successfully conducted offensive operations against identified terrorist enclaves, west of Kaura Namoda, in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State on March 10.

Abdullahi said during the operation, troops engaged the terrorists at the hideout of notorious kingpin Dan Sa’adia, where many terrorists were neutralised, through coordinated air and ground assaults.

Items recovered from Dan Sa’adia’s hideout include one locally made pistol, one locally made revolver and one PKT magazine.

In addition, troops successfully cleared another hideout at Gidan Rugga, where they recovered a pair of woodland camouflage uniforms, a pair of boots, among other items.

Troops also reopened the Kungurki-Walo Road, which had previously been obstructed by the terrorists.

Operation FANSAN YAMMA says it will remain steadfast in its commitment to eradicating terrorist hideouts, and restoring socio-economic activities in the region.

It urged the local communities to support the efforts, for safer and more prosperous communities.
