Troops neutralise bandits in Plateau

Troops of 3 Division and Operation Safe Haven, acting on credible intelligence, conducted offensive operations at hideouts belonging to criminal elements along the fringes of Pinau Village in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State and in the process neutralised several bandits.
Major Samson Nantip Zhakom, Media Officer, Operation Safe Haven, in a statement, said other bandits fled with gunshot wounds, as indicated by bloodstains along their withdrawal routes.
Troops recovered an AK-47 rifle and magazine, which they took into custody for further action.
According to the statement, follow-up operations are ongoing to intercept the fleeing criminals.
