Former Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Professor Rahamon Adisa Bello has called for urgent review of the education curriculum in the proposed National Education Policy of 12-4 system to prioritize advancement in technology education.
The former Vice Chancellor who spoke as guest speaker at the Ogun State Institute of Technology lecture said the current 6-3-3-4 education scheme on the development of capacity in skill acquisition has failed.

Prof. Bello commended the Federal Government for establishing the Nigerian Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF), which he believes will address the shortage of skilled manpower in technical and artisanal fields that will complement global standards.
