President Joe Biden has called for Donald Trump to be locked up 14 days before the presidential election. Biden told New Hampshire Democrats on Tuesday night, October 22, that we gotta lock him up, referring to former President Donald Trump, before quickly adding, Politically lock him up. He was describing some of Trumps plans for a second term, when he said, I know this sounds bizarre it sounds like if I said this five years ago, youd lock me up. We gotta lock him up. During Trump’s 2016 campaign, crowds would chant “Lock her up,” when his then challenger Hillary Clinton was mentioned. Trump has previously denied leading the chants, telling Fox News in June,Hillary Clinton, I didnt say lock her up, but the people would all say lock her up, lock her up.'” According to the New York Post, a source close to Biden told the outlet that his follow-up comment meant that he hadnt intended to call for Trump to be incarcerated. The Trump campaign responded to Biden’s comments with a statement, calling on Harris to condemn Biden’s remarks.
