WAFCON 2024: CAF unveils new trophy in Morocco

The Confederation of African Football, CAF, on Wednesday unveiled the new trophy for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
CAF unveiled the new trophy at an elaborate ceremony in Rabat, Morocco.
The launch is part of CAF’s effort to reposition the women’s game on the continent.
Representatives of the 12 countries that will participate in the upcoming WAFCON 2024 finals were present at the ceremony.
The tournament will kick off on Saturday, with hosts, the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco, taking on the Copper Queens of Zambia in the opening fixture.
Banyana Banyana of South Africa are the current holders of the competition.
