Yahaya Bello Arrest Update

The immediate past Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello has been arrested in Abuja by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Yahaya Bello was brought into the Headquarters of the Anti-graft Agency early Tuesday afternoon.

The former Kogi state Governor had not been seen since the EFCC instituted an eighty-two-billion-naira money laundering suit against him. Yahaya Bello’s arrest follows months of tension between the EFCC and the former Kogi Governor.

At the time of filing this report, Bello is having a session with investigators at the EFCC’s headquarters in Abuja.
