Year 2025: Ebonyi Worshippers Express Hope Of Better Economy At Cross Over Night

Nigerians in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, South East Nigeria have expressed joy and gratitude as they welcome the 2025 New Year.

In their expressions of happiness, the people celebrated overcoming the hurdles, hardships and challenges of the just-ended 2024.

Their optimism for 2025 is rooted in the hope that if governments at various levels prioritise the interests of the average Nigerian, the year holds great promise for all.

In a homily, Rev Joseph Eton, reminded christians of need for adjustment which comes with a new year, encouraging christain not to wax cold in challenges.

Also, the Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru in a New Year message to the people says the past 2024 year brought challenges, but it also showcased the resilience, unity and innovations of the people of Ebonyi State.

He therefore pledged to redouble efforts on significant strides recorded in improving infrastructure, health care, education and security in 2025.

“In this New Year 2025, my administration remains committed to delivering our promises across all sectors. We will prioritize policies and programs that promote inclusive development, foster economic opportunities and ensure that no one is left behind”

“I have declared this New Year as one that will be marked by unprecedented development, growth and massive transformation of all parts of the State” the statement reads in part.
