Zamfara: Bandits attack Katuru village, injure two, abduct two women

Armed bandits attack Katuru village in Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State on May 25, 2025, around 1:00 a.m., leaving two people injured and abducting two women.
Eyewitnesses told Zagazola Makama that the attackers opened fire on residents, injuring two individuals before fleeing with the abducted women to an undisclosed location.
Troops of the Nigerian Army responded to the attack and evacuated the wounded to General Hospital in Shinkafi for treatment.
Search and rescue efforts for the abducted women are currently underway.
