The Chairman of Zamfara State Council of Chiefs, and the Emir of Anka, Attahiru Ahmad, has called on leaders, to lead with the fear of God and compassion, to attract the support of their subjects, for peace and security to reign in the country.
He made the call during an event in Kaura Namoda, aimed at fostering peace, and promoting the cultural heritage of the different ethnic groups, at the premises of the Palace of the Emir of Kaura Namoda.
The Emir of Kaura Namoda, Major Sanusi Asha retired, and his council members, began the event with a royal endurance trek, from the emir’s private residence to his palace, where the people gathered to receive him.
The event brought the different ethnic groups resident in the Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State together, to foster peace, unity and harmonious living, irrespective of religious affiliations.
The Chairman of the Zamfara State Council of Chiefs, who is the Emir of Anka, Attahiru Ahmad, tasked leaders to display the qualities that will draw their subjects closer to them, and promote peaceful coexistence, to engender sustainability.
Governor Dauda Lawal, represented by the Speaker of the Zamfara State House of Assembly, Bilyaminu Isma’il, lauded the efforts of troops in ensuring the return of peace, while committing to work with them, to end banditry in the state.
The state’s Head of Service, Yakubu Haidara, praised the Emir of Kaura Namoda for the innovation, which he brought towards the development, especially uniting the people of the emirate.

The emir appreciates the people’s support, and urges them to embrace one another, and live in peace.
The Theatre Commander Operation Fansan Yamma, Major General Oluyinka Soyele, was also represented by Brigadier General A. A. Babatunde.
There were displays of Igbo, Yoruba, Fulani, Hausa, and Southern Kaduna rich cultural performances, aimed at promoting unity in diversity, and the strengthening of peaceful coexistence of Nigerians.
