At least Six Zamfara Community Protection Guards (CPG) and four Yansakai have been killed by Suspected terrorists in Anka Local Government Areas of the State.
Governor Dauda Lawal who dropped a condolence message on his X handle said the incident happened on Saturday when Security Forces in collaboration with the Community Protection Guards (CPG) led by the Nigerian Army launched an attack on the enclaves of the terrorists, killing several of them and recovering their weapons.
It said it was on their way back from that operation, that terrorists ambushed them around the Bagega area, killing six operatives of CPG and four Yansakai members.
Governor Lawal, said that three persons among them are still missing, two are operatives of the CPG while one person is a member of the Yansakai, whose whereabout is unknown.

The six CPG and four Yansakai operatives who lost their lives were buried on Sunday morning.
“When I learnt of the incident, I gave a directive that immediately medical assistance should be offered to the injured persons while the families of those who lost their lives be provided immediate relief materials.
I prayed that God accept the souls of those who paid the Supreme sacrifice in order to protect their communities.
May God comfort their families. I prayed God to end the security challenge in Zamfara State, the North and Nigeria as a whole.
