“If I were having problems with my husband, everybody would know,” Michelle Obama addresses divorce rumours

Michelle Obama has, again, addressed rumours about her marriage to Barack Obama on her podcast, IMO, which she co-hosts with her brother, Craig Robinson. She’s previously talked openly about her relationship with her husband and has insisted that they are not splitting up. Now, during an appearance on The Diary of a CEO podcast, Michelle made it beyond clear that if she and Barack were ending things, she wouldn’t keep it a secret. “If I were having problems with my husband, everybody would know about it,” Michelle said. “He would know it,” she continued, pointing to her brother. “And everybody would know it. Im not a martyr. I would be problem solving in public. ‘Let me tell you what he did.'” Elsewhere in the podcast, Michelle explained that she and her husband are in it for the long haul. “The beauty of my husband and our partnership is that neither one of us was really ever gonna quit at it, ’cause thats not who we are. And I know that about him. He knows that about me,” she said. Rumours that the Obamas were having problems hit a fever pitch earlier this year when Michelle decided to sit out some important public appearances. She chose not to attend the funeral for Jimmy Carter on January 9 and also skipped out on President Trump’s inauguration on January 20. As for her reasons, Michelle said that she simply didn’t feel like attending. I feel like now I have permission to do what I want to do,” she said on The Diary of a CEO. “I think at 61, Im finally owning my wisdom. I think it takes women until were about 60 to be like, I think I know a thing or two.” The post “If I were having problems with my husband, everybody would know,” Michelle Obama addresses divorce rumours appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
