LASEPA shuts churches, hotels, businesses over violations (photos)

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has sealed some establishments in the state over noise pollution and other infractions.  The agencys enforcement team stormed Ogba, Oko Oba, Orile Agege, Dopemu, Abule Egba, Ifako Ijaiye, and Alagbado, closing businesses and institutions. The affected churches were the Assemblies of God Church, Peculiar Gods Glory International Ministry, and Celestial Church of Christ. Other establishments the agency shut down include Primemart Superstore, Maxx-M Square, King Nico Hotel & Event Centre, 10:45 Hotel, and C2C Meridian Integrated Hotel, Globacom mast and NextBest Bar. Speaking on the agency’s decision, LASEPA General Manager, Babatunde Ajayi, saidNoise pollution and similar breaches affect the health and tranquility of our communities.
